Experts in the fisheries industry including octopus and overseas business consultants, who have been involved in the project from the outset, have promoted the project, steadily building and expanding KFI’s business.
Kenji Kuzunuki
President Director
Kenji is an expert in seafood processing, having worked as a factory manager and sales manager for an octopus production company, handling everything from food product development to production line design and promotion. He has experience in export promotion activities overseas and launching new products at overseas production plants.
Kotaro Takahashi
Director
Kotaro has more than 25 years of extensive experience in all aspects of overseas expansion for SMEs, and also Japanese ODA policy formulation and project implementation, particularly in Southeast Asian countries. He received an M.A. in Economics from the University of Tokyo and an M.A. in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School.
Kazumi Kato
Quality control manager
Assigned to Indonesia in 1999 as a JICA volunteer, Kazumi worked on various JICA projects until 2017. Since 2018, she has been fully engaged in business management and quality control operations on the ground. She is an expert with 20 years of experience living in Indonesia and fluent in Bahasa.
Atsushi Sato
Sales manager
Before joining KFI, Atsushi has worked as a sales rep. for the octopus processing company for 13 years, dealing with various sales outlets such as trading companies, markets, wholesalers, and mass merchandisers, and developing products based on customer requests, while also engaging in marketing.
Factory members
- Staff: 10 people (including one personnel trained in the octopus company in Japan).
- Workers: 6-10 people (maximum of 50 planned, depending on the quantity of goods).
